SOUTH AFRICAN COVID-19 CASES GO UP BY MORE THAN 1 500 IN 24 HOURS

South Africa’s COVID-19 cases rose by more than 1 500 in 24 hours and deaths by 28. The positive cases now stand at 25 937 whilst deaths are 552.

The data released by the Department of Health show more male deaths (53%) to date, compared to females (46, 7%). A large percentage of victims of the virus are older, between the ages of 50 and 79. However, two babies of less than a year have already died.
