COVID 19 Cases rise to 3 465 in South Africa

Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize has given the latest update on local COVID-19 infections. He said the number of coronavirus cases in the country had increased to 3 465. That is a 5% increase over the previous figures and is consistent with previous rates of increase.

At least 58 people have died from the virus thus far in South Africa, whilst 1 055 had recovered. A total of 126 937 people had been tested up to date.

Meanwhile, today President Cyril Ramaphosa will be addressing the nation. He is expected to advise further on the lockdown.
