In a bid to improve its customer service, retain existing members and attract new members, SAMWUMED will soon be deploying Roaming Agents to service Greater Johannesburg, Emalahleni, Port Elizabeth, Umtata, East London and Polokwane. The role of the Agents will amongst others be to process new member and dependent applications, on board members and attend to query resolution.
The Roaming Agents will augment the existing Regional Offices in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Polokwane and Durban. Through the offices SAMWUMED is able to service the needs of existing members and new members on a variety of issues including:
- Claims queries
- Changing of contact details
- Explanation of Scheme rules and processes
- Membership card requests and collections
- Premium related queries
- Member profile maintenance
- HR and Payroll Support
Acting Sales and Servicing Manager, Lungile Mtwana, said the presence of the Roaming Agents and the offices were instrumental in providing face to face service, retaining existing members, attracting new members and positively branding SAMWUMED.
