Competition Terms and Conditions:

1. The competition is open to all active SAMWUMED members.
2. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
3. By entering this competition, an entrant indicates their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
4. The opening date for entry will be Friday, 01 November 2024.
5. The closing date for entry will be Saturday, 30 November 2024. After this date, no further entries in the competition will be permitted.
6. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
7. The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows:

SWITCH YOUR FRIENDS TO SAMWUMED AND WIN COMPETITION:

Members of SAMWUMED are invited to share a friend’s details to encourage them to switch to SAMWUMED. If the member’s referral successfully joins SAMWUMED, the member could win a prize (a R500 Shoprite/Checkers voucher). These vouchers are limited and will be allocated to qualifying entrants on a first-come, first-served basis. Members who refer a friend (who successfully switches to SAMWUMED) are automatically entered into the draw to win the grand prize of a R5 000 Takealot voucher.

Starting Friday, 01 November 2024, the entry details will be emailed to the full SAMWUMED member database held by the Scheme. At the end of the campaign, members who have won Shoprite vouchers will be emailed their prizes. The grand prize winner will be drawn from all valid, qualifying competition entries received.

8. The prizes are as follows:

Takealot

• 150 x R500 Shoprite Vouchers
• 1 x Takealot Voucher worth R5 000.00

9. Grand Prize Winner will be chosen at random by software from all entries received and verified by the Scheme.
10. The prizes are as stated, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable.
11. The winners will be notified by email on 15 January 2025. If the winners cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, the Scheme reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
12. A SAMWUMED Scheme officer will notify the winners and facilitate the prize fulfilment process.
13. The Scheme’s decision regarding all matters related to the competition will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
14. SAMWUMED reserves the right to cancel the competition if circumstances outside its control arise.
15. Shoprite/Checkers vouchers are to be redeemed in-store only at any Shoprite/Checkers outlet. These vouchers are valid for three years from the date of issue.
