THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WITH COVID-19 AND DEATHS DROP IN PAST 24 HOURS

The number of people who tested positive for COVID -19 and those who died from the virus in the past 24 hours dropped. 261 people died and 3 751 others tested positive. There were 4 058 positive cases and 398 deaths in the last report.

The breakdown of new deaths are as follows:

  • Kwa-Zulu Natal – 56
  • Gauteng – 53
  • Eastern Cape – 44
  • North West – 42
  • Western Cape – 41
  • Free State – 12
  • Limpopo – 11
  • Northern Cape – 2
