3 069 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in the past 24 hours. Since Sunday this week the country has recorded 13 162 new COVID-19 cases.
88 people have died from the virus in the past 24 hours. Once again, the Eastern Cape has recorded the highest number of deaths with 33.
