South Africa has 59 538 active cases currently, 1 484 900 confirmed cases since the start of the
pandemic as well as 47 382 deaths.
The breakdown of new deaths are as follows:

- Kwa-Zulu Natal – 36
- Free State – 25
- Mpumalanga – 19
- Western Cape – 17
- Limpopo – 12
