SAMWUMED’s new Principal Officer (PO), Ms Matsietsi Francina Mosoeu, says she looks forward to serving members of the Scheme and working with all role players, especially employees, to grow SAMWUMED to become a formidable player in South Africa’s health industry.
Ms Mosoeu assumed her position as Principal Officer on 1 December 2019.
She joins SAMWUMED armed with many years’ experience of senior management and medical scheme expertise.
Prior to joining SAMWUMED, she served as Principal Officer for MEDiPOS Medical Scheme for 16 years. She has also worked at the Department of Correctional Services in the positions of Head and Senior Manager of Social Services.
Ms Mosoeu holds BA Honours in Social Sciences from UNISA and is currently busy with her dissertation for a Master’s in Business Leadership from the same institution. She has also attended a variety of Trustee Development Programmes.
“SAMWUMED is one the biggest restricted schemes in the country. It is also an important role player in the health industry. My intention is to keep it that way. For that reason, I look forward to engaging all critical stakeholders with a view of understanding areas of improvement from our side as well as areas where we are excelling,” Ms Mosoeu commented.
