The Minister of Health Dr Zweli Mkhize, has launched South Africa’s Online COVID-19 Vaccine Registration. However, for the moment, the priority is healthcare workers.
Meanwhile, new cases in the past 24 hours were 2 649 and deaths 547. Both increased slightly when compared to the past 48 hour data. New cases were 2 548 and deaths 235.
The breakdown of new deaths are as follows:

- Western Cape – 69
- Eastern Cape – 68
- Free State – 30
- Mpumalanga – 9
- Northern Cape – 3
