ANOTHER 566 PEOPLE DIE FROM COVID-19 IN PAST 24 HOURS

In the past 24 hours a further 566 people died from COVID-19 related complications, whilst 12 710 others tested positive for the virus.

The breakdown of the new deaths are as follows:

  • Kwa-Zulu Natal – 218
  • Eastern Cape – 104
  • Western Cape – 104
  • Gauteng – 80
  • Free State – 46
  • Northern Cape – 8
  • Mpumalanga – 6

 
The total number of confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic has reached 1 369 426. Total deaths have reached 38 854.
