2 270 people contracted COVID-19 virus and 58 others died from the virus in the past 24 hours. Of the 9 Provinces, the Eastern Cape continues to register the highest number of daily deaths in recent weeks. Of the 58 new deaths, 28 are from the Eastern Cape. This follows 58 other deaths from the same Province on Saturday 21 November.
The latest statistics show that South Africa now has 767 679 confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic, whilst deaths are 20 903.
Current active cases are 36 677. The Top 3 Provinces with the highest cases are Eastern Cape with 9 811, the Free State with 7 728 and Western Cape with 7 322.
