These past two years, we watched the world change rapidly in a matter of a month due to the Covid-19 pandemic which left most of us with a lot of uncertainties. However, throughout all of this, your Scheme continued to ensure that you were protected and received the medical cover you deserved.
SAMWUMED has carefully considered the expected impact of COVID-19 and how this will affect the number of claims we expected this year and next year. It is important for us that you continue to have confidence in your medical aid and the comprehensive medical benefits you receive. To continue to deliver this service excellence to you, we have found it necessary to increase our contribution rates as from 1 January 2022. Your new premium for 2022 will be as follows:
OPTION A |
OPTION B 2022
*Please speak to your Employer (Human Resource Department) to find out what subsidy you qualify for* | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The above increases have been approved by the Council for Medical Schemes (CMS) and are equivalent to an average contribution increase of 6.8 % across both options, Option A and Option B. Still have questions regarding your cover? For more information, you can use our web chat service at www.samwumed.org for a quick response or call us on 0860 104 117 to speak to our Premium Management Department. P.S. At Alert level 1 our walk-in centres are also open from 8 am to 4 pm, Mondays to Fridays. We thank you for your continued support and wish yours well for 2022. Kind Regards
SAMWUMED
