SA HAS 2 488 NEW COVID-19 CASES

2 488 people contracted COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. 237 others died from the virus.

South Africa has 59 538 active cases currently, 1 484 900 confirmed cases since the start of the

pandemic as well as 47 382 deaths.

The breakdown of new deaths are as follows:

  • Gauteng – 82
  • Eastern Cape – 46
  • Kwa-Zulu Natal – 36
  • Free State – 25
  • Mpumalanga – 19
  • Western Cape – 17
  • Limpopo – 12
