SA COVID CASES SOAR TO 445 433 BUT RECOVERY RATE INCREASES TO ALMOST 60%

South Africa’s COVID-19 cases have soared to 445 433 and deaths to 6 769. However, the recovery rate has increased to 59, 5% following weeks of hovering around 41%.

Gauteng has 160 154 cases and accounts for 36% of SA’s cases. The Northern Cape with 3 600 cases accounts for the lowest cases in the country.

There were 114 new COVID-19 related deaths in the past 24 hours.

  • 7 from Eastern Cape
  • 29 from Gauteng
  • 12 from Kwazulu Natal
  • 30 from Western Cape
  • 34 from Limpopo
  • 2 from Northern Cape.

Tests conducted to date are more than 2.7 million.

Globally, there are more than 15.7 million cases of CIVID-19 and 640 016 deaths.
