18 555 people tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours and 806 others died from COVID-19 induced complications.
Total active cases, according to the latest report, are 212 233, with highest active cases recorded in KZN (69 599), Gauteng (47 919) and the Western Cape (42 473).
When it comes to the deaths the breakdown is as follows:
- Kwa-Zulu Natal – 235
- Gauteng – 211
- Western Cape – 151
- Eastern Cape – 150
- Free State – 24
- Limpopo – 14
- Mpumalanga – 14
- Northern Cape – 7
