Only 2 435 people tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Unfortunately 110 others died due to the virus. But this is an improvement when compared to the past week’s figures of deaths as well as new infections.
Total deaths since the start of the pandemic is now 46 290, whilst total cases are 1 476 135.
The breakdown of new deaths are as follows:

- Gauteng – 23
- Free State – 20
- Mpumalanga – 20
- Kwa-Zulu Natal – 10
- Eastern Cape – 8
- Northern Cape – 1
