New COVID-19 cases and deaths have increased again in the past 24 hours.
6 041 people contracted the virus and 680 others died. This is compared to 4 551 new cases and 243 new deaths of the previous reporting cycle.
The breakdown of the new deaths are as follows:

- Western Cape – 95
- Eastern Cape – 86
- Free State – 28
- Mpumalanga – 18
- Limpopo – 4
