The South African Municipal Workers Union National Medical Aid (SAMWUMED is deeply saddened by the passing of former SAMWU Provincial Secretary and SAMWUMED Board of Trustees (BOT) member, comrade Benjamin Mdhluli.
Although he had little time to dedicate to SAMWUMED matters, due to his persisting ill-health, Cde Mdhluli was very passionate about resolving issues of members in the Northern Cape region and ensuring these were addressed efficiently and speedily by the Scheme administration. He will be remembered for his quiet, yet charming demeanour, whilst executing the mandate of the Scheme’s Board of Trustees.
“We have indeed lost a wise leader whom we were still looking forward to learning from. As a member of the Scheme and a champion for change within SAMWU, we would like to express our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, colleagues and comrades.
