MORE COVID-19 DEATHS RECORDED

COVID-19 continues to claim more lives. A further 121 new deaths have been recorded from across South Africa. The death toll is now 14 149. The breakdown per Province is reflected below:

  • 1 from KwaZulu-Natal
  • 20 from Gauteng
  • 20 from Eastern Cape
  • 24 from Western Cape
  • 8 from North West
  • 16 from Free State
  • 23 from Limpopo
  • 9 from Northern Cape

Meanwhile, new cases recorded are 1 985. The total cases since the start of the pandemic are 627 041.

Globally, 264 107 new cases have been reported. Total global infections to date are 25 118 689. Deaths are 844 312 since the beginning of the pandemic.
