COVID-19 has changed our lives and the way we do things – both in our homes, in public and even at work. The rapid spread of this deadly virus means that we have to protect one another by practicing social distancing including avoiding face to face meetings.
It is for this reason that the 2020 SAMWUMED Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held virtually (online) for the first time, and not face to face
Importance of having an AGM
An AGM is held every year as per Clause 32 of the SAMWUMED Scheme Rules. The objective of the AGM is to give Members an opportunity to participate in the affairs of the Scheme, including voting on resolutions (where applicable)

How Virtual AGM will Work?
Using computers, tablets and cell phones, Members will be able to log in and participate in the meeting in real time verbally or in writing.
However, Members will have to register in advance and go through a checking or verification process to ensure that they are indeed members of SAMWUMED in good standing.
