891 NEW COVID-19 CASES AND 40 NEW DEATHS RECORDED

891 new COVID-19 cases have been recorded, taking the national total confirmed cases to 716 759. The 40 new deaths recorded in the past 24 hours have taken the national death toll to 19 008.

Active cases are 51 030.

In earlier media statements, the Minister of Health Dr Zweli Mkhize advised South Africans that the fight against COVID-10 is not over. Furthermore, there is still no cure for the virus.
