4 525 PEOPLE TEST POSITIVE FOR COVID-19 & 213 DIE FROM THE VIRUS

In the past 24 hours 4 525 people tested positive for COVID-19, whilst 213 others died from the virus.

The breakdown of the new deaths are as follows:

  • Eastern Cape – 95
  • Gauteng – 58
  • Kwa-Zulu Natal – 23
  • Mpumalanga – 17
  • Free State – 8
  • Western Cape – 8
  • Northern Cape – 4

Meanwhile, the first batch of the vaccine is expected to arrive in South Africa this week.
