2 260 HEALTH CARE WORKERS VACCINATED AS OF YESTERDAY EVENING

2 260 health care workers were vaccinated as of 6pm yesterday under the Sisonke Protocol. This is according to the Minister of Health, Dr Zweli Mkhize.

Meanwhile, 2 327 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the past 24 hours. 230 new
were also recorded.

The breakdown of new deaths are as follows:

  • Limpopo – 122
  • Kwa-Zulu Natal – 27
  • Eastern Cape – 24
  • Gauteng – 21
  • Western Cape – 19
  • Mpumalanga – 10
  • Free State – 7
